For this project I had some struggles of coming up with what I should do. I have a project similar to this before so I was not really into doing a repeat. In the end I managed to get it done. The idea of this project came to me when I was talking to someone. I decided I wanted to use seashells somehow because they seemed like a cool non- traditional object. Someone said that the seashell is the skeleton of a sea creature which formed the idea of using that for a human skeleton. I ended up going with a scull. I used some shading by using darker grey shells for the shadow parts and the more white, pink colors for the rest of the skull. There was a conch shell that was broken in places, you could perfectly wrap your hand around it on the inside like a handle. I thought it would make a cool handle for a sword. Then I got the idea of, well how did this guy die so I used red yarn for the sword, red representing blood. It was challenging to get it to be angled just right and I made a decision to show the sword going through the skull. I made the end a basic point for a regular sword and not a cliché pirate looking sword so that you won't automatically assume that this is a pirate skull etc.
