What the article said I would have to greatly agree with what he is saying. Art supplies are expensive and will add up after time even though some of those supplies are basic things you could easily make. Example a canvas, you could make this canvas as big as you wanted to. As well this also teaches students limitations and how they could easily work around it. I hate paintbrushes, also they take forever to clean and get ruined by the end of a semester. So for a project that I did in art 2 I used dandelions which I thought was a lot of fun. Also wouldn't it be cool to say you made this piece of art from scratch. It really makes the mind think on different ways to get your hands on materials other than going to a art store and making it easy. What's art without a challenge.
